The Riu Tropical Bay will soon become the new RIU PALACE TROPICAL BAY. This will be the first Riu Palace Brand hotel in Jamaica. The property will be closing down for renovation work on August 20, 2008 and re-open on December 12, 2008. The first phase has already been completed during last Fall 2007 and included refurbishments of three entire room blocks into Junior Suites and Suites, along with some new facilities. The second phase will take place during this Fall 2008, and will include the remodeling of all remaining double rooms into Junior Suites, the up-grading of the entire public areas, and the inclusion of brand new a-la-carte restaurants. All rooms will have Satellite Plasma TV's.
 Riu Tropical Bay is located on Bloody Bay Beach in Negril. This Victorian style resort has 416 rooms, 3 pools (swim up bar), 5 restaurants, and 4 bars. If that's not enough, they also have exchange privileges with their sister resort, Riu Negril, next door.
The Riu Tropical Bay caters to all ages and is a great choice for anyone looking for a great all inclusive value for their honeymoon, vacation, or Caribbean Wedding.
