Couples Ocho Rios Weddings

Couples Resorts is renovating Couples Ocho Rios, Jamaica's first all-inclusive Couples Only resort. The company plans to spend 15 Million dollars on the 59 year old resort that originally opened in 1949.

The resort will close on April 1st, 2008 and reopen on the 15th of December, 2008. Nearly every area of the resort will be renovated to make the resort more contemporary.

What has always been the favorite part about this resort with our clients, is the Staff. We are happy to report that Couples Resorts has offered a comprehensive and generous package to ensure that their valued employees will return. Several have been at the resort for almost 30 years.

Jamaican License fees of $200 are required to paid by the bride and groom. Vow Renewal fees are $150.

Requirements

Certified copies of birth certificates
If either party has never been married need affidavits stating they have never been married
If either party is divorced, certified copies of divorced papers
If either party is widowed, certified copies of spouse’s death certificate
Completed wedding reservation form
Must be in Jamaica at least 48 hours before the ceremony
A blood test is NOT required
Must stay at the resort at least 3 nights to receive the FREE wedding
All guests staying at or visiting the resort must be 16 or older

Couples booking within 21 days of arrival will pay an expedite fee of $150.00.

General

Dates and times can be set up to 12 months in advance
Wedding are performed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Saturday
Marriage certificate is mailed 6 to 12 weeks after the wedding
The Marriage will be honored worldwide

Guests staying off the property can purchase passes:

Ceremony Only...$40 per person
Half Day...$75pp (10am to 6pm)
Full Day...$150pp (10am to 1130pm)
Children under 18...$40 per child (for ceremony and photos only)
Children under 18 require the approval of the general manager.
More than 10 off property guests will incur a surcharge
More than 20 off property guests require the approval of the general manager.
Resort must be notified of off property guests in advance.
