The Sandos Playacar beach resort has 2 sections. The riviera section has 3 categories and 298 rooms. The hacienda section has 2 categories and another 160 junior suites. The hacienda section is distributed in 16 2-story buildings of 10 units each. Every building has it's own solarium and private pool, which gives the area a Mexican village atmosphere.

Children 0 to 1 years of age are free when sharing a room with 1 or 2 adults. The 1st Child 2 to 12 years of age is free when sharing a room with 1 or 2 adults. The 2nd Child 2 to 12 years of age pays 50% of adult rate when sharing a room with 1 or 2 adults. The 3rd Child 2 to 12 years of age also pays 50% of adult rate, but valid only for the Hacienda Junior Suite and Riviera Junior Suite category. In the event of 1 adult sharing room with minor, adult pays a single rate and children as per above.
