Aruba Honeymoon Tips
The Riu Palace Antillas is by far our #1 recommendation. This resort is adults only and you get full exchange privileges with the Riu Palace Aruba next dooor.
-
Located on Palm Beach
-
Recently refurbished all rooms
-
All inclusive all the time
-
Adults only
Secrets Baby Beach Aruba will most likely be our new top recommendation. This new luxurious and romantic adults only resort is set to open in June of 2025. The swim up rooms, rooms with private pools and preferred club amenities are very romantic and popular with honeymoon couples.
The Tamarijn Aruba and the Divi Aruba are located in the Eagle Beach/low-rise section. These resorts are very basic, but they are true beachfront on an amazing beach, away from heavier populated areas.
The Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort offers a very unique all inclusive Aruba Honeymoon option. The resort is located in downtown Oranjestad. The marina section is an adults only resort and has a motor launch in the lobby that takes guests to their own private island.
With the optional all-inclusive resorts, just make sure you realize what is included and what's not and you'll have a perfect time. We do recommend booking all inclusive resorts that are all inclusive all the time for everyone. This just removes a potential source of confusion and aggravation.
Ideal Time for Your Aruba Honeymoon
Choosing the best time for your Aruba honeymoon can enhance your romantic getaway immensely. Here’s what you need to know:
Weather and Seasons
Aruba boasts a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round, making it a great destination any month. However, the most pleasant period is from December to April, with clear skies and comfortable temperatures in the mid-80s°F (29-30°C). This is the peak tourist season, perfect for enjoying days on the beach.
Avoiding Hurricanes
Located outside the hurricane belt, Aruba is a safe choice during the Atlantic hurricane season (June to November). While hurricanes are rare, you might encounter some rain and wind. If you're planning an off-season trip, rest assured that Aruba's weather remains relatively stable.
Balancing Crowds and Costs
If you prefer fewer crowds and more budget-friendly options, consider visiting during the shoulder months of May and November. This balance offers attractive prices with fewer tourists, although be aware that some venues might close for renovations during the low season from June to October.
Embrace Local Culture
Infuse your honeymoon with local flair by timing your visit with Aruban festivals and events. The vibrant Carnival season in January and February is an unforgettable experience, adding a splash of local culture to your romantic escape.
Activity Highlights
Plan your activities based on the season. Snorkeling, diving, and water sports are available year-round, but for windsurfing or kitesurfing, the May to August period is ideal due to stronger trade winds. If witnessing turtle nesting is on your list, aim for a trip between March and September.
Accommodation Choices
Decide between the convenience of all-inclusive resorts and the charm of boutique hotels. Both options cater to different tastes — whether you're looking for a hassle-free stay or a more intimate, personalized experience.
Budget-Friendly Tips
Align your honeymoon with your budget by considering travel during the shoulder seasons or exploring honeymoon packages for added value.
Ultimately, the best time for your Aruba honeymoon hinges on your personal priorities, from weather and activities to budget and crowd preferences.
